Must have an Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
REMOTE position reports to the VP of Security.
This is a very senior position that will be managing a few engineers while doing hands-on work. Experience with Optical Fiber is required. Some domestic travel will be required.
What You’ll Do
- Deploy, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs in both data center and field environments.
- Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber, handling end-to-end troubleshooting when issues arise.
- Act as a primary technical point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal teams during deployments and escalations.
- Develop and maintain clear, reusable documentation such as network diagrams, Methods of Procedure (MoPs), and runbooks.
- Assess potential risks during deployment and ensure compliance with government and security standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices into network architecture and deployments.
- Travel within the U.S. as needed to support site surveys, installations, and cutovers.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts for network security issues, ensuring rapid service restoration and prevention of recurring incidents.
- Define, execute, and refine repeatable lab and field test procedures to standardize deployment practices and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate closely with vendors, customer stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and quality commitments.
- Share expertise through peer knowledge transfer and contribute to the development of best practices and lessons learned.
