As a Network Security Engineer, you’ll provide advanced networking and engineering support for the company data center, networks, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll solve complex problems, lead innovative solutions, and set technical direction alongside the Infrastructure Engineering Manager. This role offers the chance to shape our network architecture and ensure peak system performance.
This is a hybrid job (3 days onsite).
Applicants must currently live in the Greater Vancouver/Portland area or be willing to relocate without reimbursement. No sponsorship or C2C is available.
What to expect:
- Design and deploy scalable, secure network architectures using Fortinet and Azure.
- Enhance and troubleshoot systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain high system availability and redundancy.
- Develop and integrate cloud-based networks with hybrid cloud solutions.
- Provide expert technical support for escalated issues and system stability.
- Research and recommend infrastructure improvements.
- Document software and system configurations.
What you will need:
- 5-7 years in network engineering, with a focus on Fortinet technologies.
- 2-3 years of Azure cloud networking experience.
- Expertise in hybrid cloud environments (Azure is preferred).
- Strong knowledge of FortiGate, and Fortinet.
- Proficiency in network security, routing protocols, and SD-WAN.
- Experience with Cisco, VMware/ESX/NSX, and multi-site WAN.
- Familiarity with VLANs and Network Segmentation
- Experience working in a Zero Trust environment
