As the Security Architect you will develop, support, and enforce the IT/Cyber security objectives of our company.

This is a full -time hybrid job of two to three days on-site. There is no sponsorship or C2C. You must currently live in the United States. Applicants must live in the Abilene, TX area or be willing to relocate.

What to expect:

  • Coordinate related management teams and vendors to enhance the IT/Cyber security.
  • Mitigate threats to our organization and its clients.
  • Provide support in the evaluation of enterprise security solutions.
  • Deliver recommendations for IT technologies like endpoint security, IDS/IPS, virtualization, AV, etc.
  • Develop solid partnerships with business, security, and technology teams as you drive to enhance sustainable enterprise security architecture.
  • Identify gaps in the programs, develop solutions.
  • Actively monitor and define events for Security Incident Event Management, perform root cause analysis.
  • Manage security tools and the software to secure the business environment.

What you will need:

  • Business Information Systems Degree or related field.
  • Substitute for four-year degree will be considered: two years of experience in a tech services environment that includes operations responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of Security Architect experience.
  • One or more networking/security industry certification: CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, CEH, SANS…
  • Leadership skills, ability to act quickly, maintain detailed records.
  • Programing languages, database management, storage systems and management.
  • Strong security analysis skills that include threat modeling, knowledge of web application risks, review of architecture, and deployment of compensating mitigations.
  • SIEM technologies and analysis.
  • Windows and Linux security, IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPN, network analysis that involves threat event data.
  • Evaluation of malicious activity and remediation (DFIR).
  • Ability to secure remote locations.

Bonus Skills:

  • Banking industry and financial systems information security experience.
  • Splunk
  • NIST or other security standards.
